Grange Farm School - the Association has applied to the City Council for the Dewsbury Avenue green to be designated a village green. This status would provide extra protection from unwanted development on our local green spaces. The Council should indicate its attitude towards the application in 2/3 weeks. Several residents have observed "men in suits" taking an interest in the school and its surroundings. At the Association meeting on 2nd September Cllr Blundell was asked to investigate. Mantilla Drive - the Association is aware that residents have received letters from the Council indicating that the final phase of the refurbishment of the road surface will commence on Monday 6th September. This will involve the laying of "micro asphalt", a thicker and more flexible material than the hot bitumen and grit solution.
